Today I discovered my own reciepe for frying okra that I grow in my garden. It came out so good that I just had to share it.
1 pound of fresh chopped okra
1 cup of white corn meal
1 cup of all purpose flour
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons soul food spice
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
dredge okra in a egg wash, or butter milk and mix spices and flour in paper bag. add okra and shake bag. Fry in vegetable oil until both sides of okra are golden brown
